Day 15

Faith is… (2 Corinthians 5:7)

You’ve gotta trust Him. You’ve got to ask the Spirit’s help to muster up the unmitigated gall to believe that you can trust in the Word of God. You’ve got to believe. You’ve got to give up on giving up. Tenacity. Relentlessness. Boldness to believe. Yeah I’m talking about FAITH!

Paul said in God’s word that you and I walk by faith and NOT by sight. You know what that means? It means that often our Lord will allow us to go through situations where we literally cannot see His hand moving in our lives. There’ll be times where we can’t see how the money is going to arrive. We can’t see how our bodies might be healed. We can’t see how this marriage might be restored. We can’t see any possibility of this kid returning to faith. We can’t see how this career is going to turn around.

But I heard my mentor, Kenton Beshore, say once, “If you can still see it, it ain’t faith.” In other words, faith is not the stuff of sight. Faith is the stuff of trust. Abraham couldn’t see any way out of that moment God called him to sacrifice Isaac. But God did. Jacob couldn’t see how he might be able to survive that reckoning of a reunion with Esau. But God did. Moses couldn’t see how the Children of Israel would survive the wilderness. But God did. Get the picture? It’s okay when you can’t see your way out. All you need to know is that God can. And if God can see it, we can trust Him. That’s the good news.

By now I pray your faith is being RESTORED and REPLENISHED in this season of fasting. You’ve got a big year ahead of you my friend. And God is going to MOVE mightily in your life. May you courageously move forward.

It’s our last week of this year’s corporate fasting. Let’s make it count for HIM!

Love you! Keep…keep…keep…GOING!
